چکیده

Tissue engineering aims at repairing damaged tissues and recovering the lost or degraded biological functions with artificial scaffolds. In order to meet the requirement for more complex functionality such as peripheral nerve reconstruction, new types of scaffold materials are needed. In this work, we developed several microand nanofabrication techniques to pattern polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), a highly non-reactive, piezoelectric, thermoplastic fluoropolymer, which can serve as new constituents for advanced tissue engineering. We first studied the feasibility of PVDF patterning using conventional photolithography, soft lithography and microcontact printing. The fabricated patterns were systematically characterized by surface analysis techniques (FTIR, XRD) and used for cell culture studies. Then, we developed a study on electrospinning of PVDF nanofibers. Our results showed that the fabricated PVDF nanofibers were compatible with cell-based assays. Finally, we doped electrospun PVDF nanofibers with magnetic nanoparticles, which should make them excitable with a remote magnetic field.

Enhancement of NMRI Mouse Embryo Development In vitro

Most of the systematic studies used in the development of human embryo culture media have been done first on mouse embryos. The general use of NMRI outbred mice is a model for toxicology, teratology and pharmacology. NMRI mouse embryo exhibit the two-cell block in vitro. The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the effects of four kinds of culture media on the development of zygo...

Review of Differentiation and Proliferation of Primordial Germ Cells in Culture

Primordial germ cells (PGCs) are highly specialized cell population that arises from the epiblast in vivo. There are three critical steps in the life cycle of these cells: 1-Specification 2-migration and proliferation 3-prenatal and postnatal sex specific development. Specification of germ cells in epiblast occurs due to signals secreted from extraembryonic tissues. Primordial germ cells are re...

Green growth of CdSe nanostructures for application in Schottky type solar cell

CdSe nanostructures were synthesized by using green chemical route as starch was used as capping agent. XRD, HR-TEM, SEAD, UV and PL studies were made for structural and optical properties of the prepared sample. Film morphology and the thickness measurement of n-CdSe were carried out with AFM analysis. I-V characteristics curve of this junction confirmed the formation of Schottky contact betwe...

Effect of LH Treated Ovine Oviductal Epithelial Cell Co-Culture System on Murine Pre-Embryo Development

Background This study was designed to develop a new co-culture system, assess the effect of luteinizing hormone (LH) using sequential media to promote development and increase the quality of 2-cell murine embryos through the 8-16 cell stage to morula and blastocyst stages. MaterialsAndMethods Monolayers for co-culture were prepared from ovine oviduct epithelial cells (OOEC) in DMEM/F12 medium a...
